E46 Washer Jets Very Weak

I've just bought an E46 Touring, and the windscreen washer jets are very weak. I pull back on the stalk and the jets flicker briefly up on to the screen then die back to a trickle. I was wondering if this is a known 'feature' on the E46 or something is actually wrong with them?

Mine are nothing like you describe, if I use them when the roof is off there is a good chance that I'll have to give my sunglasses a wipe at the same time. So I'd safely say that you have a problem with yours.

I know it may come across as a dumb question, but you have checked that the water reservoir is topped up haven't you?

My washer jets were 'not atall' the other day. I spent ages dicking around with them then did a test with the bonnet up and found that they were perfect.

Discovered that the hose between the tank and the jets had been trapped near the bonnet hinge the last time I had shut it.

Yes, the washer fluid reservoir is full (I'm not blonde!)
Couldn't see any problems with the pipes - will check about them getting trapped when the bonnet closes though, cheers.

Check the filter in the bottle it is part of the seal the pump fits into, they get clogged and slow the flow down.
