Just heard 'Rachael Stevens' new song (don't know what it's called) but it contains the lyric:

"I'll let you in my back door....."

Don't think she fully understands the current meaning of this...

Any others??

I noticed that yesterday - brought up a marvelous mental image!

Classic one is the Shakira song where she goes along the lines of - "its a good job that my breasts are small and humble, so you don't confuse them with mountains" - er ok love will do.....

Bit like Lou Reids "Take a walk on the wild side" played on Radio 2 a lot, one line goes

"She never lost her head, even when giving head, take a walk on the wild side"

I actually wrote and explained the meaning of all this to them some years ago, they still play it though, and the buggers banned the magic roundabout by Jasper Carrot I think

seeing as Rachel Stevens' dad wrote a guide to the best whore houses in the country I suspect she's fully aware of the meaning of the lyrics

Didn't the Beatles have an innuendo or 5?

As in, "He likes to keep his fire engine clean" in Penny Lane was referring to his knob?

"Four of Fish, and Finger Pie"?

"She's Got a Ticket to Ride" is reputed to refer to the certificate of clean health given to German prostitutes in the early 1960s

Try listening to the new Charlotte Church one. That's pretty saucy.

A mate played me a song by a German band, but sung in English to the tune of Guantanamera.

The lyrics went something like:

I saw her ct in the mirror...etc.

He saw them perform it on a kids TV program when he lived over there

That's nothing. Check this out:

GILBERT O'SULLIVAN - CLAIRE

Claire. The moment I met you, I swear.
I felt as if something, somewhere,
had happened to me, which I couldn't see.

And then, the moment I met you, again.
I knew in my heart that we were friends.
It had to be so, it couldn't be no.

But try as hard as I might do, I don't know why.
You get to me in a way I can't describe.

Words mean so little when you look up and smile.
I don't care what people say, to me you're more than a child.

Oh Claire. Claire ...

Claire. If ever a moment so rare
was captured for all to compare.
That moment is you in all that you do.

But why in spite of our age difference do I cry.
Each time I leave you I feel I could die.

Nothing means more to me than hearing you say,
"I'm going to marry you. Will you marry me? Oh hurray!"

Oh Claire. Claire ...

Claire, I've told you before "Don't you dare!"

"Get back into bed."
"Can't you see that it's late."
"No you can't have a drink."
"Oh allright then, but just just wait a minute."

While I, in an effort to babysit, catch up on my breath,
what there is left of it.

You can be murder at this hour of the day.
But in the morning the sun will see my lifetime away.

Oh Claire. Claire ...

Oh Claire.

According to the McCartney biography it's about a train journey to Ryde, Isle of Wight when John and Paul went to work in a pub for the summer around the Hamburg period.

Sorry, but Dudley Moore wins this hands down:

She was a lady
I was a tramp
She liked scampi
And her was damp
And I prodded it up
And I prodded it in
And I prodded it round
And I thought: 'this is sin'
But never mind
NEVER MI-I-I-IND!!
I'm a nigger, she's a white chick
And love is colour blind

Sorry...

Like that song that 'young girl, get out of my mind, my love for you is way out of line, better run girl, you're much too young girl......'

Can't remember who did it, my 60s music knowledge fails me.

Gary Puckett & The Union Gap

Young girl, get out of my mind
My love for you is way out of line
Better run, girl,
You're much too young, girl
With all the charms of a woman
You've kept the secret of your youth
You led me to believe
You're old enough
To give me Love
And now it hurts to know the truth, Oh,
Beneath your perfume and make-up
You're just a baby in disguise
And though you know
That it is wrong to be
Alone with me
That come on look is in your eyes, Oh,
So hurry home to your mama
I'm sure she wonders where you are
Get out of here
Before I have the time
To change my mind
'Cause I'm afraid we'll go too far, Oh,
Young girl
