Current Eurotunnel (Le Shuttle) queues and wait times?
Discussion
Depends when you are going, half term this week so lots of delays, currently several hours in total

Thanks. Departing this Weds morning!
As others have said there’s lots of variables. Mid week although half term shouldn’t be as bad as today with the rush to get away. Timing also changes things, 6am quiet, 11am probably not so quiet.
The bigger problem is coming back, I’ve always had the big waits in France.
Midweek departures should be ok, but your journey time to Folkestone will vary if you hit the M25 rush hour.
We are booked for the 8.50am this Tue, but since we are leaving around 6.00am we shouldn't encounter the M25 rush hour traffic. Should arrive around 7.20am and usually get on an earlier train. The very reason I avoid 10-11am departure times as it means traveling bang in the middle of the M25 rush hour!
We are coming back on Sat around 5pm which is peak time, hence I expect it will be busy as many Brits will be returning from their half term break. I always give myself min. 2 hours for the return leg, and again hopefully get offer to an earlier train.

I spoke to them last week - they said they weren't implementing EES until the Autumn at earliest, probably next year.
ET will happily blame border controls for their delays to pass the buck, yesterday they had a signalling fault which lead to problems but they kept quiet about that.We also book the Flexi+ tickets as you can arrive at any time and they stick you on the next available train.
It’s slightly more expensive but well worth not having to wait around for your scheduled train.
Having said that, even with standard tickets they will normally try to do the same but no guarantees.

...so the queues at Folkstone should be just the same as normal (which is to say that Half Term might be a headache, albeit mid-week should be a safer bet.
That's useful info, thanks. I'm going over on Le Shuttle in a couple of weeks (although at an early mid-week time) and have been mildly anxious about EES and the chaos it's introduction might cause....so the queues at Folkstone should be just the same as normal (which is to say that Half Term might be a headache, albeit mid-week should be a safer bet.

Selfishly I hope this is true ...so the queues at Folkstone should be just the same as normal (which is to say that Half Term might be a headache, albeit mid-week should be a safer bet.
I'm doing Le Mans and Le Mans Classic over summer. Early departures from UK so they shouldn't be too bad but I'm coming back at peak times on both trips which are always massively busy anyway. 119 said:

Slightly more expensive? It's more than double. Standard ticket gives you one hour either way, Standard Plus gives you 4 hours either way, and Flexi is any train any time. Here's a screen grab of a booking I'm in the process of making for a Friday afternoon in July...It s slightly more expensive but well worth not having to wait around for your scheduled train.
