2003 BMW M3 CSL (E46)
Discussion
Thanks for enquiry. I purchased this lovely CSL in February having looked for a perfect original and impeccably maintained example for several years. Sadly it co-incided with the addition to my collection of another car which means I simply don’t have space to garage all of my cars, hence selling. Since my purchasing I have had car serviced at Dick Lovett Hungerford
Thanks
Thanks
Good evening
1) Rod Bearing replacement - no evidence to suggest these have ever been done. Despite a totally pampered and meticulous BMW main history with over £52k spent on the car over the years there is no specific invoice to confirm the rod bearings have been replaced. There are a couple of invoices that don’t specify the items replaced but I can’t be sure what this covered
2) Vanos - again, no specific invoice detailing work has been completed on the Vanos. The car has enjoyed an indulged life, always garaged and never been on track. I am sure BMW would have tried to replace the Vanos if they felt it needed it - the car was with the same main dealer (Stephen Jones) for 17 years. Again, as above, the Vanos may have been done under warranty but no specific evidence
3) Boot floor - this was assessed in 2018 when the car had £5000 spent on perfecting the bodywork throughout the car and deemed not to have any issues at all. The car drives very tight so there is no reason to believe that over the 2000 or so miles since 2018 that the car has had any further deterioration. Again, the car has been driven responsibly all its life with the previous owner and I having spent a huge amount on maintaining the CSL to impeccable standards. If the previous owner or I had had any doubt we would have had the work done
