Help me ID a white port
Discussion
Sat around at Christmas and drank a bottle of this with my uncle (it was as very pleasant). Said uncle is coming over this weekend to help me do some house jobs and wanted to get him a bottle as a thanks. I am pretty sure it's the one in the link below but all I have to go off of is a picture I took of the cardboard tube it came in while slightly inebriated at 1am. Can anyone check my homework?

Where are you based?
Was it this one?

Is see you’ve linked to House of Townend, they are the main importer of Pocas port into the UK. I use them as my main merchant and have plenty in bond with them along with Berry Bros.
Once again HoT do not fail to disappoint when it comes to spelling.
As someone that struggles to understand how a business can’t get simple things correct like spelling in all of their communications either digital or traditional paper format, it makes my brain explode. Something I’ve grown up with since being a youngster.
I won’t identify the glaring error in this particular instance but I will be taking it up with John (Townend).

Before clicking the link I was thinking how bad can it be, but you are right that is sloppy to the point something must be up! All the grape names are incorrect, like they have been auto ‘corrected’ or something? The producer has a pretty decent site, though they do seem to do a fair few whites so might be worth seeing if any of the labels jog your memory.

I am sure trying a different one from the same producer will go down well as a gift though if you don’t get the exact match!
I have the Pocas 20 and 40 years old tawnies, they are great. Tawny being my favourite style of port.
On another website I ve seen seen the same text as the OP shows on packaging for the Pocas 10 year old white port.
I’d go for the 10 year white as a gift.
