We’re finally back in Europe, for the classic that is Monaco. We all know the drill, Saturday qualifying is not to be missed but Sunday will be a procession. The cars are smaller and lighter but remain too big and heavy for the circuit.

This will be an easy circuit for the power units, with a lot of heavy braking to recharge the batteries. FIA has limited the high speed deployment of the batteries to keep speeds in check and there is no straight line mode this weekend.

Lando won here last year and will have a good shout to do so again, but it’s really a guess who will go well in these conditions. George needs to beat Antonelli but my vote is Max for his 1st win of the year.

Please let me know if you have any problems seeing the images.

Here’s to a great race.

Thanks PiaP.

Got tickets and looking forward to the racing which happens on Saturday.

Think both Ferraris will be strong here.

Thanks PiaP!

I know the racing is usually dire but I love Monaco.

The Mercedes engine being pegged back seems to be the biggest story missing, will it make any difference?

Well I guess they would! If it made no difference, why bother engineering it in the first place?

I suppose what they could be saying is “our .5 second a lap advantage will now become .4 so we’ll still be miles ahead”

The Shaila-Ann Rao / MBS combo is bearing fruit.

Thanks yet again PiaP. Excellent work.

I will be glued to the TV for the qually. The race? Not so much. I might not even bother to watch it live.

Thanks for the stirling efforts each race PiaP!

Great circuit for many reasons.

I wonder if Ferrari can put its stable cornering dynamics to good use here, or will I be sadly mistaken? The latter is more likely... laugh

With the Ferrari excess downforce, this might suit them down to the ground?!? At which point Charles is going to put it in the chicane in Q2 leaving Lewis P2 then a win on Strategy...... I really must stop taking whatever tablets I am on.....

Thrown in a vote for a wild LeClerc victory, he usually goes well on his home track so I think it's a distinct possibility.

Would love to see Lewis do it mind!

Does Leclerc normally go well here...? I thought he'd only ever finished a race twice at Monaco.

But it's all very different this year, for everyone. I think these more twitchy cars with less downforce are going to baiting the barriers, especially during qualifying which I expect will take a few out and mix up the grid.

Whoever's at the front then probably wins the GP. It could be just about anyone.

Excellent, thanks PiaP!

Love this weekend, Saturday especially, I'm really looking forward to seeing how these cars go here.

Important to note that there will be NO Straight Mode (SM) areas around here, as they want to keep the cars top speed down.

I voted for Lando as he must be due a win, I've been a McLaren fan since 1965 and Monaco often throws up an unexpected result. But I wouldn't mind if Lewis did it.

Charles came 2nd last year, won in '24, 6th in '23, 4th in '22...so yes, that's pretty good in my book.

Anything can happen here... Might even see AM & Cadillac pick up some points.

I guess I was remembering the long dry spell pre 22! He had some shockers - not all his fault tbf
