Best tariff if solar + battery but no EV?
Discussion
Could you tell SP that you're planning on getting an EV so want to change the tariff? If they don't ask for any purchase dates or booking dates for the charger then you might be ok to not get an EV. Or your parents could get a PHEV if they are looking for a replacement car soon and don't want an EV.
Like I said in the original (deleted) post, I don’t want to lie or do anything underhand. It just isn’t worth the stress. Scottish power do an 8p/kwh overnight tariff. That’s pretty good. I’m sure Octopus could do something better but, if I’m really honest, I don’t trust them. I expect everything to be great for a few months and then find something changes which ruins the deal.
