I will be heading in the car into Le Mans at some point, should I bother with Crit' Air sticker?

It is only a fiver.

It seems that the French government are doing away with the low emision zones but it hasn't happened yet.
Expect you will go via Rouen where it is popssible to travel outside the zone, but drining on the autoroute through Lyons I was glad I had the sticker when due to an accident we had to go onto the city streets.
As you say, the cost is so minimal

If you order online that is enough, you don't need the sticker. Suppose I will splash the cash then.

You wouldn't need to have one just to drive through. The only time it would be noted is if you are stopped by a policeman, or it's noticed when you are parked up. I do have a sticker since I spend a lot of time in France but if you're just transiting through a zone I wouldn't bother.

I was very impressed with the French Critair website, so straightforward & easy to do, it puts our own .gov efforts to shame tbh. The receipt comes back almost immediately, so take that with you. The sticker itself can take a couple of weeks.

It has the added benefit that the data is then shared with the French regional authorities so speeding fines can find you back in the UK .
You accept the sharing in the Terms and Conditions.

I have one and a speeding fine .
