Road Angel type app

Put this in GG as I wasn't sure it fitted any of the sub-forums.

Apart from the likes of Waze, is there a dedicated speed camera app that works with Apple CarPlay that offers similar/the same features to a dedicated Road Angel device? I had one (and a Snooper, remember those!?) back in the 00's and it worked pretty well - idle musing this afternoon left me wondering with the marvels of a smartphone, whether there was a reliable app that someone on here could vouch for.

I suspect the lack of replies suggest that the alerts within Waze and/or Google Maps mean there's no need for a stand alone speed camera app.

Is there a reason why either of those apps don't provide the functionality needed?
