A few weeks ago I swapped my old 2014 V8 F Type Jag for the Cyberster. I've got to say I'm very impressed with it, stupidly fast and very refined. It makes the old Jag feel like a complete dinosaur.

Anyone else on here have one?

I'm not a fan of the looks, and of course it doesn't have a V8, but there's no denying that EVs can have outrageous performance, and are certainly the future of performance cars.

What's it like to drive? My Polestar 4 is similarly stupidly quick and has fantastic cross-country pace (4wd), but is never able to disguise its size and weight. It's certainly no sportscar however fast it goes.

Test drove one because I think the salesperson was bored. Tremendous fun but totally impractical. We have a sensible car now though so wouldn't complain if you gave me onebiggrin

It's actually really nice to drive and in no way feels like a cheap Chinese car. Everything is very nice quality, the ride can be a little bouncy at the rear on bad roads but other than that it's a brilliant bit of kit. I also have a 2024 Mini Cooper SE, the Mini's infotainment / software is a bit better than the MG, but as said previously they both make the Jag feel really old.

I always said I'd never ever buy an EV and now I have 2, a full convert!

Top tip, Put your fingers through the 'F Type style dash hoop' and operate the heating/car controls with your free thumb smile

Top tip indeed it can be a bit limited access to the centre screen, any advice on how to turn all the stupid stuff of in MG Pilot other than just turning it off?

At work so will have to check later but I think I have the warning volume on 3 or 4 from the RH screen, I have MG pilot on ICA as my commute is mostly DC & it works really well smile, shame ICA doesn't work on 'Custom' setting

ETA - All settings 'ON' except 'Speed Limit Change Tone' that is off, on settings volume 'Warning tone volume' set to 3, Radio volume is set higher hehe

I don't find MG Pilot too nannying and the LCA resistance to change lanes with no indicator is not too high / easily overcome

Enjoy drivingbeer

Do you miss the Jags excellent V8 sounds?
For me I'd be happy to accept most of the EV characteristics but, an in a sports car especially, does it make any difference to the driving experience?

TBH I followed an M4 the other day down some winding lanes, it was popping and banging all the time. I chose the moment and shot past him.

It all seems a bit childish now but I did love it at the time.

So no I don't miss any of it. Dinosaur like I said originally.

IMO it's a bit like the fake gear changes of Ioniq5n. Seems a bit counterproductive to interrupt power to the wheels by putting in fake gear changes.
I'm really looking forwards to some serene touring in the mountains with a soft top EV if ever it reaches the US.

Don't think I've even seen one on the road yet.

What colour is it etc? Any pictures?
