Who knew that Lego could lead to massive corporate theft and Police corruption?

So did they physically break in and steal the lego or the guy ordered it and they sold it somewhere else and said they never got the money?

My understanding was that the original concession holders took the whole collection on concession. Then, when the BAM corporate took over they said that the old contract wasn't with them, so they didn't need to adhere to the contract or return the collection. They also started to deny the collection was ever in the store, despite video footage to the contrary. Evidently they also started making allegations about the previous managers being on Heroin and effectively stealing.

The bigger story is probably the levels of Police corruption being uncovered as a result. It does seem as though Ben has left himself open to prosecution due to some of his tactics though.

Been watching this since the begining, dodgy CEO, dodgy staff and even dodgier( is that even a word)? Police force.
They must be looked at.
Just watched ben,s latest vid with the hacked police body cam footage.
Cant really see any way they can argue anymore about what has happened, but it is America so who knows.
See he has had help from a well known lawyer and the crowd funder page is doing very well.
Doesnt look good for BAM as a business from what ive read on internet.
All for $200K

I have been meaning to watch some videos to get up to speed on this story but I know the basic details. What seems craziest is the way the local police department seems to be able to be wielded as a weapon for private interests. I've heard supposition that it's Mormons looking out for Mormons, at which point no theory sounds too dark or outlandish.

Good to see BAM have sacked Josh and the other guy. They've also offered to return whatever Lego sets still remain, which proves they were with BAM all along. I know that Ben has been a bit wreckless in his methods but ultimately he has done a good thing. Uncovering all the Police corruption has been an added bonus. The Police have been so stupid. It's as if they don't know what cameras actually do! laugh

They sent Patreon a court order basically telling them to take Ben's channel down. Patron said 'bite me'.

Just for legal clarity - my understanding is that the footage wasn't "hacked", instead the Police uploaded it themselves into an 'open to the public' dropbox folder which wasn't password protected, so absolutely anyone could view everything in it. The reason for the legal stuff is that something "hacked" couldn't be admissible in court in the US, whereas as an open public storage location is completely fine for admittance.
