What s the obsession with putting amps on the floor?

I mean yes, some of the massive 250kg monoblocks I can understand, but looking at pictures or videos of high end listening shows or events, I am bemused by the amount of kit on the floor.

If they are trying to sell stands for thousands, wouldn t they show them as well? I just don’t get it.
