Another number plate question
Discussion
Sorry if this has been asked before. I've transferred many reg. numbers and have done it regularly.
However, two years ago, I bought car car for me, which had a crap personal plate that the previous owner of the car couldn't be bothered to retain.
I didn't want it and transferred my own plate to the car. I did not pay to retain the other crap plate, so assumed it's gone to plate heaven.
When I sell the car and put my own plate back on retention, what will be assigned back to the car? The original plate or the crap personal one?

The original plate from when the car was new
Disagree. I think the previous plate will be reverted to.You could ask DVLA to ensure it reverts to the plate when new
.(ps. I also think ‘previous plate’ will be returned)
