What plaster do I need?

I'm about to remove some cracked plaster from a concrete lintel - Do I need to use Hardcoat plaster or Bonding plaster?

Just depends, for small patches anything that come to hand tbh, Polyfilla included.
However if there there is a large area to do, you need to use two plasters, a backing coat and a finish. For the former use Thistle Bonding, it’s designed for smooth, low suction surfaces, like concrete! Then you need a finish plaster, like Thistle Multi.
That’s the proper way to do it, if you’re feeling confident about using a trowel
