Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

It seems very inexpensive for what it is. Any obvious red flags to the experts here? (Apart from it being in Wem, obs!)

No garden or garage perhaps? And some buffoon has fitted a door the wrong way round in one of the bedrooms...

Street View shows it is in quite a tight little street.

I went and had a look at it a few days ago, just from the outside.

It's fine, down a side street as you can see, and wheelie bins around, but no obvious big issues, other than access when moving in, as the street is narrow.

Don't know about cheap, particularly, but here's your street view out of the front windows. I wouldn't even visit.

Yeah, that's grim.

I'm not going to buy this house, but I am curious, as it is just so much more than you get for your money just a few miles away.

Hazardous / medical waste bins?

I mean, I guess they've got to be somewhere, and I know nothing about house values in Wem- but I'm not seeing 'very cheap'?

I think the next cheapest 4-bedroom detached in Wem is £300k.

Opposite dosn't look very appealing but might be the Funeral directors next door

There is a parking area to the side of the house behind the black gates.

There's a funeral director very nearby. I hope that isn't relevant.

Otherwise - it's down a bin alley, with pretty poor access.

And in Wem

Just seems a lot of house for the money to me, though. And it is empty, it's been on the market for a few months, perhaps a probate sale, so there may be room for significant negotiation as well.

Maybe some of the last customers are still enjoying a lock-in?

I think (ironically) that empty building used to be a guitar shop.

Looks decent to me for the money.

Makes sense - boarded up windows, secure entrance doors, large amounts of medical waste.

I have a customer in Wem, on Chapel Street, I mean on the face of it it's not much cheaper than a lot of stuff you can get up north and it needs some work.

As an area it doesn't have an awful lot going for it.

And just to add to the challenges. It's G2 listed.
