British Line of succession...aituation

Following the death of KGV
Edward VIII 1894-1972 If he had not Abdicated AND had no descendents Who would be on the throne today?
We think it would end up like this ( as Males to precedence over females until recently)
David,Albert, Henry, George, Mary
Albert next in line D 1952 so as he died prior to KEVIII Elizabeth dropped down the order
Both Priinces John( no issue) and George Duke of Kent predeceased him so the current Duke of Kent and his brother Prince Michael also drop down the order
Mary d 1965 so all her children drop down
This leaves Henry Duke of Gloucester who would have reigned for 2 years having died in 1974
His first son William died in aircraft accident ( no issue) in 1972 As an aside his aircraft had the registration G-AWOG
His second Richard took over the title Duke of Gloucester and by our reckoning would now be King, and would be succeeded by
his son Richard and then by his grandson Xan Richard.. I do think King Xan might well be aka Richard
So by our reckoning the monarchs would be
King Edward VIII 1936-1972
Henry IX 1972-1974
Richard IV 1974- To date the
Richard V
Xan Richard VI
Are we anywhere near? We can work out who drops down the rankings when there are new children.. but going the other ....not a clue...lol

No, wrong I’m afraid.
From birth, Elizabeth and Margaret were always higher in the line of succession than their father’s younger brothers, even though their father pre-deceased his older brother.
From her birth, provided Edward VIII had no legitimate heirs and her parents had no son, she was always going to be Queen
