I'm getting quite sucked into this motor, we had a CX50 in the US and it was quite nice for the trip.

PHEV feels like it'll be better economically than what we had. Things that worry me;

-Depreciation worries me
-It's high tax bracket and 40k+ list I assume
-PHEV maintenance, not sure what to expect from my ownership period of expected to be at least 5 years.

Anything else?

Depreciation is pretty stable on these, if you're looking at this size of vehicle the levy will apply so take it as part of the ownership experience.

Buy a lightly used (preferably Takumi spec) one & buy a maintenance plan from Mazda that way your costs will be set. smile

Also buying used offsets the worst of the depreciation:
