Was wondering if anyone can tell me where i could get alloys to fit my 4.2 cerbera. Looking for 17" wheels. Have searched the net for makes but not having much luck, any help would be much appreciated.

I've bought a set of 17x8 'Boost' rims from www.rarerims.co.uk. Just waiting for them to supply me with a spigot spacer(hole in wheel is 73mm, spigot on hub is 71mm...).

These wheels are lighter than the TVR alloys and the same offset (35mm) - I'm talking about compared to 16" TVR wheels though.

Hmmmm, good choice of wheel, your starting to put ideas in my head now :-)

I take it the price quoted is for a set of 4?

Are you going for Gunmetal or Steelgrey?

Gunmetal. I got steel grey originally, but they were too 'silvery' for what I wanted. Gunmetal looks great, using them as a coffee table for now

Price was for a set of 4, delivered next day.

Just need that spigot ring!

TooTallPaul - thats Dave Haslems old car isnt it? (BIGTOY) - you dont happen to know the specs of the driveshafts fitted to it/ know where he got them from or even how much he paid??

Apparently he got some far higher spec ones made to avoid them shearing (common on Cerberas that are driven hard/properly ) - one of ours went and we are reluctant to do the other side if it can be permanently avoided by re-changing both to uprated items!

Thanks in advance,
Ben CA

Hmmmm, wish you hadn't posted that link to Rarerims now!
I take it the spigot ring locates the larger centre hole of the wheel on the smaller hub centre on the cerb, its not a spacer?

What sort of condition are they in? And what price are you looking for them? If possible could you send me photos?

Cheers

Apologies for dragging this thread kicking and screaming back to life, but was wondering if you ever got these wheels up and running Simon. Need some new wheels shortly as am on the original 16"s. Tempted by the default Spiders but worried about the downsides of 18" with regards to turning circle and ride. 17"s from the 4.5 is another option but then remembered reading this a while ago and would be an interesting alternative.

If you have them on and can post some pics it would be most appreciated.

Cheers Nick, will give them a bell and see if they can post out one of the brochures. In 2 minds at the moment about going for aftermarket wheels, don't want it to look max power modified but then some wheels look lovely.

ps. I assume Alex is female

They didnt look too Max Power to me, I thought they looked good. Paul of Austec has some black ones only his orange Tamora, you may be able to see them on the Austec/ACT Autopsort thread?

Hi, yes they're on the car, I've been waiting to borrow my sister's camera, as mine is rubbish. Here are a couple of grainy pics so you can get the idea...

Look good.

Still prefer the original RL17's found on the 4.5's but then I like the single headlight look too.

Thanks Simon. Look lovely, some decisions to be made now, first on wheel choice and then colour. Yours were gunmetal right? Look quite light in the second piccie but dark in the first, which would say is more accurate. I have a green car so don't want to go too dark, I am looking for this sort of combo I think and can't decide if the steel grey is closer or yours in the 2nd pic
