Topless man goes on rampage attacking taxis, petrol stations and injuring 5 before attacking an estate agent and a pizza shop on Leith Walk. Which closes its shutters on him.

BBC said:
In another video, an officer can be seen holding a topless man on the ground, who then swears and shouts that he is "protecting the country".

I have resisted the urge to speculate the amount of booze he had necked , identifying ethnicity in cases like this only furthers division and intolerance.

But it wasn't just Leith walk - he started assaulting people in Sighthill, then in Crewe Road.
Did he get the bus down to Leith and get off on the way there?

A complete nutter all the same. No shortage of them in Embra.

Makes a difference from the normal tourist traps I guess.

The one thing we can rule out is that it was a Scotsman as the whole of Scotland seems to be in Boston

Attacking a petrol station and saying he is "protecting the country"? Could be any number of pro-EV posters on here.

Heatwave + football + the weekend seem to be the absolute perfect storm for some people to drink 18 pints and go absolutely mental.

Seems to be a photo of an axe I assume he was using? if this is the case then i seriously hope the armed police were deployed and detained this man at gunpoint, someone armed with a weapon attacking innocent members of the public needs neutralising as quickly as possible.

I read that he pushed over some shelves. They are quite overpriced.

Too many pints of wreck the hoose juice, coke or an innate propensity to violence; I'll take a bit from each.

What’s he been charged with? Unless I missed it (entirely possible) that beeb article was vague to a degree I wouldn’t have expected.

Or is it just different in Scotland?

For the removal of doubt, since far too many contributors in NP&E are on a hair trigger, what an enormous this person appears to be. Or, for the benefit of those who occasionally express indignation on such points where mental capacity has not been established, his actions appear to be enormously y.

Anyway, is there word on the charges?

All the articles seem a bit light on detail right now.

Not sure if it's a Scotland thing around the information they put out.
