My 750iL is great with loads of ooomph but I have a few questions.

At the bottom of the screen there is a symbol that looks like a remote control looks a bit like :
" O))) " what is it?

Also every now and again it gives 3 beeps from the left speaker but not the usual "bing, bing, bing" warning any ideas?

The preset climate control that you can set 1/2 hour before you get in how does it work without starting the engine or opening the windows (or does it)?

Lastly I like to take my mutt out in the car but if I lock it the damn alarm keeps get set off but the dog. Any ideas how to disable the alarm BUT lock all the doors.

(May be obvious answers but I cannot find them in the book).

Now I see why you're scared but happy.

On the BMs I've got just stick your key in the door and turn, old fashioned I know but it seems to work.

Dont know about the other stuff.

Thanks I will try that. The dog is only a dachshund, and she hardly comes into the dangerous dog act

. To be honest it is a great car. May not have the launching power of the TVR but will soon gather pace and will sit at 80 all day. (not tried alarm yet as it has been raining non stop).

The three "beep" would be the hour signal - think you can turn it off (or the dealer can) but quite convenient for remembering to listen to the news on the hour, etc, or for remembering to have a stop from time to time when storming down the motorway hour after hour

Thanks everyone! Yes manually locking the doors does disable the alarm. At last I can take Tara shopping.

And thanks for the three beep 'problem' I was starting to go mad. I looked at both displays the phone and could not understand what the hell it was, I kept expecting a message to come up and tell me the axle had fallen off or summit.
