The original film has it's 25th anniversary this year so they are showing it in Odeon cinemas in August

Il definitely be going, was the film that got me really hooked on cars as a wee 12 year old can’t wait for the remastered one and see it on the big screen. The latest ones have gotten silly but the original is great.
The cars look OTT now but I loved that era max power etc, bold colours, wild body kits, people with imagination and no cars looking the same. Still many cars in that film I still want today, yellow R33 is a dream. Took me 25 years but picked up my bit of nostalgia January just gone

I loved going to see this back then in the cinema(and the film encouraged me to buy a 200SX a year later as well
), and I've watched it about a million times on DVD too!
So I can't believe it's 25 years really, because when you get old, you still feel young in many ways I think.
What a lovely throwback I reckon.

I remember seeing the first one, on leaving the cinema all the young lads thought they were in the film!
I used to watch it loads as soon as it was released on DVD(and I went to the cinema to see it), and after I'd watched it, I'd take the 1992 Escort RS2000 that I had at the time for a good thrashing too!

I've wanted one of these since the first time I saw one outside the okd US car importers in Manchester. They're such a cool thing. I love it. I m very tempted to go to the cinema to see it again.
I ve watched the whole franchise again recently, number 9 being a particularly awful film.
I know the first one has its hate and has massive issues on accuracy but for me it s still an enjoyable watch.
Watched it again the other day. As you say a good watch and holds up reasonably well. I ve watched the whole franchise again recently, number 9 being a particularly awful film.

That said I'd never really thought about the plot holes around the way they do the truck heists and how committed a truck driver would have to be to risk their lives for someone else's stuff.
Oh and a R34 went past me today, first one I've seen on the road in years and they still look fantastic.
