Looks like we're really going for it this season,5 signings already, much cash splashed.
With the expanded playoffs I'm guessing our owner sees it as now or never
Which team are you? With the expanded playoffs I'm guessing our owner sees it as now or never
With Fernandes sold to Spurs for £85m (which is bonkers when you think that some teams in the Champ probably didn't cost that in total) and Summerville likely off to Man Utd for circa £50m that should cover our debt nicely - and the owner looking to pump around £100m in we should be ok financially this year which is all we could ask for at WH

With your money anything other than promotion will be seen as a failure but we've been there and done it, failure I mean

We should have some cash to buy players, the big thing is retaining key players like Bowen and Mavropanos
The squad is pretty thin at the moment and the number of games does worry me
Soucek got crocked at the WC so thats a blow

And Sheff Utd sell Brooks.
An academy graduate.
To a rival.
For no needle moving fee.
Brooks has been noted as saying he likes the ambition of Norwich.
Buckling in for this season
It's all been outbound traffic at the moment (not counting backroom).
Ambition ? From City ? I hope not........An academy graduate.

Bristol City have been doing some deals but nothing that gives any indication as to whether we ll finish in playoffs or relegation zone
My expectation is remaining mid table. Fingers crossed!
Bristol City will do their usual trick of starting strong, and then flirting with the relegation zone just before Christmas, before gradually pulling themselves back up to 7th or even 6th, ahead of finally realising that 10th is really comfy…

New manager will be interesting to follow - I know he did well with Lincoln but he has only been a professional manager for about 4 years. Could be sensational, could be a nightmare, just like every game in the Championship….

He was part of a triumvirate really but he worked wonders with us, then quit the ibstant he was made a decent offer, but mainly due to previous relationships. He was England futsall coach and I think some folk at Bristol are linked with where he trained and coached.
I think we will struggle, rumours abound we might get a main manager instead of relying on the coaches Skubala left behind, but I just hope we give it a go. Our side was something like 17th budget wise yet we won easily and went 29 games unbeaten, that is quite some belief and management.

West Ham season ticket holder here looking forward to the season.I really enjoyed it last time we were here, and it’ll be refreshing to actually celebrate goals rather than wait for VAR. The rule changes seem positive (not sure 7/8 playoff is needed),no Carra and Neville, more games, proper football fans and we’ve sold 50,000 season tickets which is astonishing.
Tough tough gig coming up,good luck to all of us.

Watford here. Who knows how we will fare... we seem to be slowly slipping downhill.
New foreign unknown manager, obviously, until the October international break anyway. This is after the club hierarchy promised (again) to learn from mistakes and appoint someone who knows their way around the Championship and how to get promoted from it.
We're losing the better players, replacing them with unknowns. It's all part of the fun.
