Sold my car to a private buyer - do I...

I sold my car to a private buyer - we filled out the new keeper online.

A couple of days later I went to the DVLA page "Tell DVLA you've sold, transferred or bought a vehicle" and tried to fill in the form there, but it tells me the V5 reference number no longer exists.

Do I still have to fill out the green slip on the left hand side of the V5?

The part titled: "2 Selling or transferring my vehicle to a new keeper (not a trader)"

Because it would appear it's already been transferred?

If you've completed the change of ownership online there is nothing further to do.

If you did it online at the time of sale that's all you need to do.

As above, you have already done it, a new V5 is in the process of being made & it WILL have a new number, so yours no longer exists.
