I have been working in a trade for around 6 years. I think I need a change. From the travel, to call out, I have had enough. I have a degree in Computer Science, however 10 years of stress and depression, plus some really dark times. I change career to a trade. Has anyone else come off the tools and tried something new.

Yep. I put on over two stone in a year! You need to compensate for the lack of activity.

How about surveying? You can still utilise your trade experience and quite often a natural progression for those looking to come off the tools

Possibly I would have to research it and see where to start.

Came of the tools around 18 years ago and moved into machinery safety, then occupational health and safety.

Had to take a take a pay cut at first but worked my way back up salary wise within 3 years.
