When he got out he didn’t look like the water went past his ankles?

Still, I wouldn’t go through an unknown ford!

Someone should have told him it was the Bond Lotus that converted into a submarine. Not an Aston.

Why was he holding the phone like that? Surely that is the worst thing about it it the video!

On a serious note, it is a silly thing to do. What a shame for the car.

Just about enough brains to own an Aston. Not quite enough to decide to take another route.

I've seen dumbass kids hold their phone like that, as if they're an alien who picked one up off the floor and had no idea or guidance as to how a phone works, but to see a grown man doing it is a bit weird.

Bit harsh. Not that I would have attempted it but I expected something like the videos of imbeciles piling into Rufford Ford at 40 mph and waves breaking over the windscreen before floating off down the stream. Air intake must be super low.

He can feel aggrieved about that.

The level barely reaches the exhaust tips.

I really don't think it's harsh. Someone standing there filming at a ford should give you plenty of warning that you might want to be a little circumspect, let alone if you're in one of the lowest cars on the road.

The way he holds the phone just confirmed my initial assessment hehe

Obviously didn’t tick the Q High Level Intake option. Oops.
At least he’s not got a 007 plate.
The James Pond jokes are good hehe

Couple of tell tale signs of a throbber, the red shorts with the loafers and then the way he holds the phone.

Luckily somebody was there to film it.

My opinion is that he was driving too fast. Look at the bow wave - it's probably that that caused the water level to reach the air intake.

But yes, unless you know the depth of the water and where the vehicle's air intake is, you're better off taking an alternative route.

Hopefully his insurance company will refuse any payment…why should the rest of us pay higher premiums to cover idiots like this.
