Driver ID/Key recognition driving me nuts - Help please

I'm hoping for some help here please.
My wife has a 2025 X1 (U11) and when we bought it, the salesman arsed around with our phones and the keys for 10 mins or so to make sure that when you walked to the car with either your phone or a key it recognised who was driving and set the driver ID and car settings appropriately.
It worked absolutely fine. If both me and my wife approached the car and got in, it used my ID as the primary/main driver, which again was totally fine as its either my wife driving on her own (so it uses her ID and settings) or me and her, in which case I usefully drive, and it auto-selected mine as the primary.
But I changed my iPhone to a new one about 3 months ago and it has since gone completely mental
If I approach the car with my phone, it unlocks and all that, but then says it doesn't know who I am and asks me to choose either myself or my wife's profiles off the screen before starting the car, or it says it needs me to scan a QR code on the screen with the BMW app and log in again, which I have done countless times.
I have the BMW app on my new phone, all working and logged in correctly, and I have the BMW digital keycard thing in my iPhone wallet, all working, but it still says it doesn't know who I am when I get into the car, and defaults to no driver profiles and everything on the infotainment is just reset to a 'no named driver' standard, or starts pestering me to scan QR codes.
If both myself and my wife get in the car, it says it doesn't now know who is the main driver anymore and asks us to choose who is driving on the screen, which it never used to do.
Any advice on how to fix this as it is all kinds of messed up now.

Can you clear and then reactivate the keys from the cars memory? Failing that call your local BMW Dealer or use the physical key itself.
Yes, I could try deleting my profile but I’m not sure how to add it again. I guess the instructions will be online somewhere?The physical key works fine and is recognised as me, but I would happily never carry a car key again as I’ve been so impressed with just having to carry my phone only.
