Bought a 2016 6 speed Yaris, rather enjoying driving it. The headlamp perspex cover are quite cloudy. Tried a couple of products which - after application - looks better, but rapidly they return to cloudy. Any recommendations (other than replacement!)

Wet sand (800 → 1500 → 3000 grit), polish, then spray with 2K clear coat same day. That's the only way it lasts.

Skip the wipe-on stuff it's all temporary.
3M kit does the job if you don't want to piece it together.

You missed the but about polishing with cutting compound, I say this as polish to many will just mean with wax etc.

If you are going to apply 2K clearcoat, you need to stop at 3000 and spray it, there isnt anything for the clearcoat to adhere to otherwise, dont use cutting compound before the clearcoat.

Alternatively, sand it, then use cutting compound and polish. Its not as long term as a coat of clear but should come up nice for a medium term result.

Good point, I tend to just sand/cut rather than clear also.

Amazon do a nice clear coat for headlights, very cheap and easy, just do on a warm dry day, 2 coats. I did it first on a cold dank winters day and had to try again
