...Obviously I am referring to bikes with dual round headlights. What were you thinking of?
For me, I adore bikes with the dual round headlights. I don't know why - they are beautiful to me. Maybe they remind me of something?
I am considering what bikes in this category are still good value for money, now that my original choice of an Africa Twin has exploded in price.
Africa Twin

Triumph Sprint 900

Ducati ST2

The original 'blade

Cagiva Elefant

Kawasaki ZXR

Honda VFR

What else am I missing - pictures please!

The Ducati ST2 had a single headlight, your pic has an aftermarket fitment.
Don't forget the bike that started it, the GSX-R750. Edit: beaten to it by a minute....

Yeah, a bit before my time but they do look cool all the way up to the 'L' model. After which the dual headlights behind the plastic cover became a thing, along with some very 'interesting' colour schemes to match the shell suits.Don't forget the bike that started it, the GSX-R750. Edit: beaten to it by a minute....

I bought the original F model at 2 years old which revved like a 2 stroke up to the redline and drained the 3 gallon main tank in under 70 miles on a fast trip to Wales, handling was on the edge with a nasty weave setting in at 130+ and was grateful that the previous owner had fitted an adjustable steering damper; overall reliable as rain and handling much improved on the later models.Don't forget the bike that started it, the GSX-R750. All very different bikes and given the same choice today it would have been the RC30 from that era

Love all the faired examples above but naked bikes with twin lights look revolting to me, fair enough to those who like them but as awesome as the Street Triple may be to ride, it's ugly!

Then they got rid of the round headlight and somehow it got even worse! The bug-eye lights are so stupidly big over the front wheel.

Most modern ones are the best of a bad bunch but I still hate how front-heavy the design is, and the gap over the front wheel like they forgot to bolt on a fairing.
