Scam WhatsApp re: Hotel de la Source

If you're planning to go to Spa this summer, and have a reservation at Hotel de la Source:

I received a WhatsApp message last night purporting to be from the Hotel de la Source reservation system. It had my correct details (name, reservation number, start/end of stay) and asking me to click on a link to update/confirm the reservation,

This is a scam/phishing message, so please be careful!

In my case it's for the 15/16 september (RSR track day).

The title should obviously be "Scam" not scan....

Sounds like someone got into their booking system (or whatever they use, Windows Notepad?) or emails. Perhaps worth a check if in case it's your end.

They appear to use a third-party booking system, so I suspect that that’s been hacked.
I suppose that the breach could be at my end, though I don’t think so, as I monitor my devices and systems fairly closely.

Currently on hols touring Champagne region. Have had two of these WhatsApp messages for different hotels. Very nearly fell for the first one as I was busy doing something else and nearly re-entered my card details 😳

I believe this is related to Booking.com.

It can affect any hotel that allows rooms to be booked booking.com.

Seems their booking system extracts way more information than it should, so sees all bookings made with the hotel and it is this that’s been compromised.

I have also had this a few weeks ago in France.
I also nearly got hooked in as I was in holiday mode but saved myself.
It's from Booking.com details I am sure
