BMW IX3 vs Tesla Model Y vs Polestar 4

I'm ordering a new company car and these three are at the top of the shortlist.

I've driven the Juniper Model Y and found it ok. First EV I've driven and I wasn't blown away but it would more than do for 4 years.

Are the two alternatives better for circa 200 miles a day?

iX3 sure to be better to drive, assuming it's the Neue klasse model, I think what's putting most people off those is 1) long delivery times 2) unattractive leasing rates. If you can overcome those issues, then...

The Tesla supercharger network might hand the Model Y a massive advantage, depending on how and where you intend to charge it, or the iX3's longer range might be really important. Bear in mind that you'll struggle to put 200 miles worth of electrons in from a home wallbox every night, especially in winter.

My advice is take a look at ZapMap to see where your local fast chargers are, and test drive the Polestar to see if that blocked off rear window is a dealbreaker for you - it was for me!

A 7kw home charger can put about 20-25 miles range per hour into one of these cars. Shouldn't be an issue.

On paper yes, but there will be times when you'll want to go out in it after work or do more than 200 miles tomorrow, or when weather really hammers your range, and if you're doing 200 miles a day for 4 years you'll be seeing significant battery degradation by the time you hand it back.

The Tesla isn’t in the same league as the polestar4, nor the BMW. Given that most of the charging network is open, there’s no need to have one. Or just wait for a mega offer where they’re nearly giving them away at £300pm etc
