AC car?

Hey fans
This week, I thought I was seeing from far an old AM DB series car but when I went to see it, I didn't recognise it... Neither the brand.
Anyone has an idea about what is this car?
The back looks really a lot like an old DB series.

I think it's an AC Greyhound.

Now quite a lot cheaper than an Aston Martin of the same vintage!

I recognise that Greyhound. I missed buying it by a day last year. Somebody got their deposit down just before me

It has a Triumph engine, the Bristol it came with now lives in an Ace.

Lovely car, bit tired inside but everything else is in good fettle.

Interesting and quite lovely car

They only made about about 100, initially with the AC 2.0 six then used the Bristol. Like the Aceca, a few had the 2.6l Zodiac six.

I adore them, lived in the shadow of the Aceca for too long but getting collectible.

AC is a fascinating company. Just look at how diverse their production lines were:

Greyhound, Ace, Cobra/ pre Cobra chassis (disputed for years with Shelby. Cant remember the outcome...); 3000ME and the Invacar.

Ian Fleming used to drive an AC Aceca and Classic Car's made in 2019 a very nice article comparing it with the Aston Martin DB Mk III featured in the Goldfinger novel.
