Might be swapping the family car, I’m slightly interested in the Lexus rz450e, a 2024 top spec car comes in at about £26k, so 8 years of warranty left.

Anyone got one? I know range isn’t great(170ish motorway/200 mixed), however that sits inside the usage window, 99% charging at home.

Anything else sit in that sort of profile, large/luxury and importantly, warranty?

I like the look of these, plus the brand.

I have an EV that has 210ish winter and 240ish summer range. It's one of the cheap lease deals leapmotor c10s.

I also find the range not an issue for my mileage.
I've done 9100 miles in 7 months. So likely 15.6k a year, or 300m a week.

On the very rare occasion I need to charge publicly i just accept the small waiting time.

It is just a BZ4X with a different body but if you're ok with that..

There was a post that that car could only DC (fast) charge twice in 24 hours, not sure if it's true but if so with the limited range that would be a real issue for longer trips...

I have no knowledge on these, but if it is a BZ4X in disguise, maybe delve into real world reviews on range.

My inlaws have had one from new (cheap lease deal) and they moan that the winter range is very poor and even summer doesn’t get close to the book figure.

I had one for two years on a cheap Lease deal and it was a fantastic car. Great performance, ride quality, refinement, silence, and space. In car entertainment is great, Mark Levinson stereo, Heads-up-display and a Satnav system as good as Google maps. I highly recommend them, the realistic range was around 160 to 220 miles, but I had the 20 inch wheels as it was the Takumi model.

I asked the lease company for a quote for me to purchase it at the end of the contract and they offered it to me for £31K. I asked if there was any movement on price as I could buy a similar car for around £28K, and they said no. I therefore took out another cheap lease deal on another EV, it went through a BCA Auction at £25.5K and it has been for sale for past 6-7 weeks at an ever decreasing price £26.2K. If I had known that it would have been available at the price it is now I would have bought it as it is a quality car. I treated it like my own, ceramic coated it from new, and not washed by anyone but me, a hobbyist detailer.

Funnily enough a friend was is thinking of buying one, and I sent him the link to my old car today….

Body/interior/materials etc, I am ok with that. Like a 911 is a very polo etc.
