Detail R have been around for some time , never used them but have seen their work.
Lava Studios are at Westcott who did a great job on my Dark Horse when detailing and ceramic coating it.
Emerald ( Paddy ) offers a mobile service and is well known for his work on Astons.
He did my R8 when new again with a new car detail and ceramic coat.
Top bloke , works really hard and didn’t eat any biscuits.

Emerald (Paddy/Francis) is a great shout alscar. Many AM owners in this forum have had him detail their cars over the years and as you said he can come to you too. Make sure you hide the cakes though. wink

Emerald sounds like a good contact given personal recommendations - how do I get in touch with him, does he have an email. I’ve come across DetailR as part of a search and I see they do work on Porsches so they may be worth a visit to check the operation out.

Rumour has it, paddy (Francis) is the best and most experienced Aston Martin detailer in the country. And the accusations of cake over consumption is entirely false

Thumb up for Paddy - he's done my V8V twice. Just be aware that he cleans the wheels on the car and will wax the faces if requested as part of the detail, but he doesn't remove the wheels and wax inside the barrels like some do.

Thanks for the recommendations. I’ve booked Francis to give it a good once over and a layer of ceramic.

I am sure that you will be pleased with the result.

Francis did a magnificent job on my DD. Purchased at only 4,000 miles, but the paint finish felt rough to touch.
After three days work, it was all as good as new. Even the blotchy window surround brightwork (which the main dealer said couldn't be remedied), is now perfect.

If you don't already have one, ask Francis about his wheel cleaner brush.

Francis is keen to work on my V8V, but at the moment that still looks as new.

Very different times then.

The question now is, who might 'Cakeandpolish' be ?

Best brush for the inner wheel. Just be mindful that some calipers are too close to the wheel and also the heat shield is very close in the front on some models, so if the brush doesn t fit behind the caliper then you will have to do both front wheels and move it forward a bit to clean the section you couldn t get to. Also, be careful the brush doesn t get stuck in the heat shield . The back wheels are always straightforward to do, no matter the model.

You want the blue one.
