What are you favourite food combinations?

I used to often get negative comments from my fellow work colleagues with my smoked mackerel and coleslaw sandwiches. (In the days when smoked mackerel was affordable). Definitely weird.

I just had a bowl of ice cream as it is a bit hot. We only had boring vanilla in the freezer, but I totally transformed it with a dollop of lemon curd. Most wonderful.

My house mates at uni called my toast with cottage cheese and greek honey weird, but it was what my dad had for breakfast every day when I was young so I knew no different. Now my kids also think it normal.

Butter and marmalade on a chocolate digestive are a step up from a Jaffa cake.

I pour heaps of salad cream all over my Xmas lunch.

Does this mean I win?

Snails and Epoisses cheese pizza. My wife’s favourite pizza. The texture of snails and the smell of Epoisses.

In my school days, cheese and jam sandwiches were a popular combo. Loads of people used to have them

Two slices of bread or toast, both buttered. Once slice spread with Bovril and the other with Philadelphia - assemble as a sandwich with sliced cucumber in-between.

I had a banana & ready salted crisp sandwich today. The contrast between gooey banana & crispy salty goodness are something to behold!

Fair enough : ) Needs a good slice of cold butter and home made marmalade of course. Could be a plain digestive too.

I feel that Jaffa cakes are not what they once were - thinner, cheaper chocolate and drier, mealier sponge. Ensttification in action.
