Agreed.

However I also totally understand his reasons for wanting to move on.

Dont know him, but have heard PHers call him a Robin Hood type fellow... wouldnt he be best off upping his prices to earn a decent crust (some said he worked for peanuts) and getting down to business as usual?

Dont hold your hands up for too long!...as much as I'd love for Joos to be carrying out service work, I am sure as the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, that Joos will not be going back to this kind of TVR work...his heart and soul is now in the development and upgrade work side of things.

Agree with satman. It's not always about the money -- AIUI Joo was getting bored doing the same old servicing work. A man's got to be happy as well as rich, (although money does allow you to choose your misery...)

I agree with Paddy. However, I'd be the first to wish him back (if only). I only live a couple of miles away. Not knowing much about TVR'S when I got my cerbera, it was always good to know that Joo was just down the road. To service/repair my car now means somwhere far afield.

Nah I don't want him back servicing. A man like him shouldn't be fixing rattles, and chasing leaks from rusty pipe clips.

How about getting an apprentice, mate? They could do the servicing while you focussed on the development...

So another Cerb owner in the Kingston area, you should get yourself down to the Fairmile pub in Esher, where the TVRCC meet, last Thursday of the month usually a few other local carb owners present.

Count me in !

I can understand Jools reasons for wanting to move on and it's true that he is wasted fixing niggles but I'd happily pay Jools dealer prices to service my car.

Well, not unhappily at least

If I can make it to the Fairmile from Sussex on the odd occassion, then Dean has no excuse not to put in an appearance from Kingston

PS Dean, your profile says you have 3 cerbs, so either you havent updated it properly, or you are mad, or possibly stark raving fing bonkers. One's enough for my pocket

You could try APM - he is the best AJP man there is !
He does his own rebuilds, has been a tuscan race engineer, carries out servicing, builds race car cerbs, can NOS, can source all parts, the factory want him to work for them, can sort bodywork and tyres etc etc He has worked on Cerbs since the very beginning.
so if you are in the South and you want the very best then he is your man.
But (?) he isnt developing horsepower mods with ECUs and breathing.
There is no one that can out cerb APM.
Plus he wont make you a coffee. But he also works on Cerb S6s, Tuscans, Chimps, Griffs, Wedges, S2s etc etc...

Miserable bugger.

Actually, last time I was at Austec I was asked if I would like tea or coffee, to which I greatfully accepted, to be pointed to the kitchen and told to get on with it

Joolz never offered coffee... but he did order fine takeaways I heard... and used to hold rave nights at the workshop, inviting all the young girlies and gathering a rather huge TVR orgie...

t'was what a I heard, damn I must have been sleeping to have missed all that!
