Battery Powered Bike Tyre Pump Recommendation
Discussion
After battling a puncture last night surrounded by millions of flies, my mini pump was a liability.
Any recommendations on those new fancy pocket sized pumps that's good value whilst being relatively compact and light.

I recently bought this, and I honestly think it’s one of my best bike purchases of the last year, a real game changer.

One of my riding buddies has a Bontrager Air Rush, no complaints and works really well. He's now the designated air pump guy of our group
I was sceptical at first but they're a game changer especially on group rides when you don;t want to hold the group up.
I expect they all come out of the same factory in china though....

How long do they hold charge for? My worry with these is that I get a puncture so rarely (though typically I've had three in the last two weeks!) that I'd pull it out and it wouldnt work.
I charged mine before my first outdoor ride of year at the start of May and it was still indicating fully charged when I checked it yesterday.Robertb said:

Mine seems to have held charge for 2 months since I last required it, kept indoors which will definitely help battery life. if it's in the garage over winter you'll probably see significant drop off.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NidRhuYJSlc&t
Who would have thought there could be so much analysis on a pump.
Think I'll go for the Magic Shine unit.

which brand / pump? I have one and I took it out of my saddle bag, the pump randomly dies.. and the one time I needed it, it was dead. Lucky enough I had a mini pump.Gassing Station | Pedal Powered | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
