I was passed a couple of motorbikes from my dad who now sadly has dementia so isnt much help but the two bikes originally came from my brother who is now in New Zealand (for last 20+ years0 so he isnt much help either

I want to move the bikes on but how do I get a log book? I doubt my dad will have changed the v5 from brother to dad, there must be a way as I dont want to sell them without really

This. I bought a car locally without a V5 and just used a V62 to get one.

I vaguely knew the owner so the missing V5 wasn't a risk.

Bought a few BCA turds with no V5, post off a form and a cheque to the DVLA and you'll get a book in 2-3 weeks.

Issue is if it was never in your name you can't tax it until it comes back, officially.
