TVR Tuscan - After Market Alloy Wheels
Discussion
I am buying new Alloys for my Tuscan, I know purists will say the standard ones are perfect, but I am buying new ones anyway so would appreciate comments from people regarding the aftermarket wheels that I have mocked up onto a photo I took of my car. If peeople could maybe post there top 3 wheels by putting the numbers I have marked them with :)

It is a mark of how good the 'Standard' wheels are that they make all the others look either:
1. Too 'Max Power'.
2. Too cartoonish
3. Too 'Gangsta'
4. As if the belong on a Hideously modified Mercedes 190E, circa 1988.
5. Combinations of the above.
Stick to the standard ones. By far and away the better choice.
As an afterthought, you could get the standard wheels re-finished either to a gloss black, or to that 'anthracite grey' finish. Your Tuscan is dark in colour and that is what I would do to make ot look particularly demonic.
Pompous note:
I live in the 'hood' (a shifty ehtnic enclave) (I am ehtnic and can say that) so I feel entitled to give you an opinion that is not humble at all.

I have already decided that I dont want the standard wheels so am looking for feedback on what are the best ones out of this selection of aftermarket wheels, I know lots of people like the standard ones as they are, I dont, so looking for feedback, maybe this is the wrong forum to get it.

Personally I don't think any of the wheels you have presented suit the organic curves of the car, the wheels you have selected are all very straight and sharply defined with flat faces and cut lines. The standard wheels suit the car best because they are soft and curvy like the car. All IMHO of course

Rich...I have seen a Tusc with these Kahn alloys
on and they looked really nice in the flesh.
Bit pricey though at over a grand each

I've been thinking of upgrading my wheels too. Spiders are just too, erm, well common really.
I quite like these
Or for more bling

Hi Jon,
My Apologies, i'm just checking through my emails and noticed that i haven't got back to you.
It looks like 19x8.5 front and 19x9.5 would work on your vehicle.
without tyres £1485.00 inc VAT.
with 235/35/19 front and 265/30/19 (possibly 265/35/19) rear Dunlop SP9000 = £2379.00 inc VAT.
I can quote with lower spec tyres if you prefer to give a better price, but then you may risk not having a matching set of tyres.
UK delivery is included in the price above, We are based in Bristol.

Nice wheels, I noticed you have been recommended 19 inch, I was going to avoid going any bigger as I am worried it will just make the ride worse? anyone got an opinion on this?
if you keep the ratios right it will definately make the ride worse.
ive changed the wheels on just about every car ive owned(3 cars,3 sets in past year, crazy!!)'cos i either like to be different or want to improve looks. however it nearly always makes the car drive worse.
trouble is although i applaud you for trying something different with the tuscan im not sure that the selection you have chosen are right (imo).
i do like the ones on the black sagaris thats been around(Niche wheels i think)and also the typhon wheels.
i do think that spiders are over used but the thing is they do look very good on most models in the tvr range especially the tuscan.
tough decision.

I'd stick with Standard or go with No. 4 personally..
Others are too Bling Bling for me.
Dave.
I'm kinda looking for something a bit more bling bling, for me the Tuscan is a bit to bland looking with the standard wheels, as if a tuscan could ever look bland I know, but you get used to the radical shape and things start to bore.
