Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood has announced Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) will be designated a threat to national security.
Mahmood will use new government powers to ban support for the group, which has been linked to death threats, attacks and intimidation in the UK.
In a written statement to Parliament, she set out how support for the IRGC, from expressing a positive opinion to assisting them, will now be an offence punishable by up to 14 years in prison.
Two other groups are also being proscribed, the Islamic Movement of Companions of the Right (IMCR), and the volunteer corps of Russia's GRU (foreign military intelligence agency).
New powers will be given to police and intelligence agencies to tackle espionage, foreign interference, sabotage and physical attacks from these groups.

No... it's a terrible squirrell because you can't handle what happened and desperately need to turn the blame on the people you don't like. Both legally and illegally.
It's a completely unrelated event, feel free to start your own thread about the IRGC.. you're going to find they don't have many supporters.
That being said, I'm completely unsurprised that you're doing this.

It's an awful suspected attack, those guilty should face the full consequences.

What the hell were they alleged to have been planning
I suspect off the back of this you may have muslims get extra funding for security. Shouldn't be this way, but looks like our taxpayer money is going to go on protecting them. What the hell were they alleged to have been planning

I don't see a problem with that.https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cvgl20x1ggpo
If there's a threat there - which there clearly looks to have been in this case - that's what the Police are there to do.

I don't see a problem either, providing the spend is proportionately matched to the security spend against antisemitism.

What the hell were they alleged to have been planning
Given the people were across different locations I assume that there was some private group discussing the event and MI5/police etc. were monitoring communications and some plan had developed to attack it towards the end of the event. Although five people were in Surrey and the ages look like they are a family - grandfather, two sons, and two of their sons? What the hell were they alleged to have been planning

I know it's a very serious subject but I did have a little snigger at the list of who's been arrested and where.
[A] a 27-year-old man arrested in Surrey on 12 July
[B] a 35-year-old man arrested in the Greater Manchester area on 12 July
[C] a 31-year-old man arrested in east London on 13 July
[D] a 42-year-old man arrested in Essex on 12 July
