Hello folks,

Im staying at the Municipal on Dale street and want to walk everywhere. Taking the girlfriend for a really quick break.

I’m looking for a an intimate restaurant for an early evening meal. Ideally somewhere without a clock on the table. It’s a Thursday if that helps.

Secondly a great spot on the Friday for a bit of people watching and a grazing lunch. Haven’t been to the docklands for years so any tips really appreciated.

Thanks folks

I've used to work in Liverpool until the pandemic, there wasn't much fine dining back then and Albert Dock was mainly chain restaurants so I wouldn't be looking there for your requirements.

360 Sky bar was good, great views across Liverpool if you get a window seat and the food was pretty good. I see they've opened an Ivy in Liverpool now so that may be a good shout. Duke Street food and drink market is pretty good, street food indoors so you can order from multiple vendors (they're all owned by the place just selling different dishes) and brought to your table, good for people watching I guess and close to lots of bars etc.

Had dinner here 4 weeks ago - it was nice but seemed very expensive for what it was

Can't help with the intimate restaurant, but Duke Street Market is a good call for people watching. Or head over to the Baltic Triangle, and go to somewhere like Love Lane Brewery, as the beer, gin and food is pretty decent.

Manifest, Nord, Vetch, Art School, Queen’s (and 8 by Andrew Sheridan, but no experience) for dinner.

Lots and lots more choices nowadays for decent-enough casual spots - in the Dock, probably Maray.

Head over to Bold St, quite a few places there, I know you said you want to walk but Lark Lane would be worth a trip, be about £9 in a taxi, let me know yr budgets n Ill give you a few recommendations, enjoy
