Anyone fitted sloping handrail? Outdoor

Need to fit one to a brick wall next to 2 concrete steps.

Presume there are set standards for height and other stuff.(should it have a horizontal bit each end of the sloped rail?)

Also where did you purchase? Ideally a couple of brackets and a pre cut rail should be easy.

Just follow he British standards and you will be ne. These ae Scottish standards but will be the same:

As you wouldn't really require a handrail for two steps then there are no set regs, but I usually set mine 900mm high.

I fitted this wrought iron handrail at our back door which has two steps. Great quality. Rock solid with concrete bolts into the steps with an impact driver.

It was needed. Closing door after horse bolted as Mrs IRC broke a bone in her foot going off the step.

For wobbly people, yes; I helped the old man fit a handrail beside two steps in the garden a few months ago, mum isn't as mobile as she used to be and is still resistant to using a stick so she asked for a handrail.
