Kevin Keegan has passed away
Discussion
I can honestly say, growing up in the 70's, he was my first hero. I thought he was brilliant.
I started supported Manchester United because my brother's mate told me he played for them!
I thought England would walk the 1982 World Up because ...we had Kevin Keegan! No other team in the world had Kevin Keegan! I was heartbroken when he left for some german team.
To me he's up there with the likes of Bobby Robson, I can't imagine anybody saying a word against him
RIP

He was a really great footballer but another big memory of him for me was him racing a bicycle on BBC's Superstars TV show.

Did they ever reveal if it was PC?
You would assume it was.
It's scandalous they won't do a national screening programme.
Part of my childhood both the football and Superstars. You would assume it was.

The problem with PC is there is no sensible accurate test.
I'm in the middle of going through assessment post a high PSA reading. See the consultant for the MRI results tomorrow. No symptoms and it's likely the high PSA was a result of 45 miles of running in 20 something degrees over the weekend before the test. The things that impact your test results are not well understood.
My dad has a high PSA reading with no cancer - noone understands why.
I was at university when he managed Newcastle in the 90s. They trained at the university sports centre.
As students we could wander around as much as we liked. He was always really friendly (as were most of the Newcastle players at the time - Shearer was a bit aloof but he was in his homecoming era).
A friend of mine played headers tennis with him once, which was hilarious as she - a Newcastle fan - was completely starstruck and lost all coordination..!
RIP King Kev. A generational talent and so nearly beat Ferguson's United to the title....
