OK, so attempted to swap out my gear lever with the Ti version to match my Powers knob.

On my spare T5 box (from a '99 Tuscan) the pendulum was held on to the selector stub with one grub screw. Undid it and off came the pendulum, stick and knob.

Move on to today and Tamy had two grub screws on the pendulum. Undid these and removed them. Pendulum loosened but wouldn't come off. Tentetively tried a slide hammer but wouldn't budge. Adjustable pump grip and the pendulum would twist, but still woldn't come off.

Anyone had any similar issues? Did you and how was it resolved.

I may take the selector plate and stub off the spare box and try to swap it out in situ.

Also posted on Facialbakue so don't feel obligued to reply twice. I'll update this for future reference if it gets sorted.

Thank you.

Yep, same here. Mine is a 2000 Tuscan with 1 grub screw but doesn't come of either. Even had the gearbox out to fix a leak on the gearbox input flange so thought I'd manage it whilst out of the car but still would budge, was very slightly loose with the grub screw removed so it's very strange. Didn't really need it off, just wanted to strip and clean everything so wasn't a big issue.

I've fitted a Mazda Miata rubber gaiter (up-side down) instead of the Transit one, it's much lower profile and seals to the larger diameter block at the base of the gearstick, seems to stop heat transfer to the stick. I'm going to remake the leather gaiter so it's low profile too leaving the stick exposed, would be a shame to cover your Ti one up...
