Positive Public Charging
Discussion
Currently enjoying a week around the cotswolds and I must say I've found the public charging network very easy to use, especially with Electrovese.
And to add to that, the site where our Lodge is has free EV chargers, albeit only 7kwh but ideal for overnight charging. There's 4 chargers, and we have 2 EVs in our convoy and managed to top up every night.
I think folks would be more tempted to go EV if they understood the ease.
Topped up en route from Northumberland (didnt need it but felt happier with a fuller battery) while grabbing a McDonalds at on 50p p/kwh too, and the car was full again in just 40 minutes, we usually stop for an hour anyway by the time we all use the loo, have food, loo again etc. I found the smaller EV charge sites cheaper than the main services, by quite some margain.
All very positive.
