Need to preface this with following caveats

1. I was into hifi in younger years but it basically amounted to a big amp and 2 speakers and certainly not setup for AV/Gaming etc. So everything has moved on dramatically.
2. Moved into new house with 5 speakers installed in the (quite high) ceilings - 3 up front shown and 2 behind
3. I decided I want to have dolby atmos if possible

I purchased a Onkyo RZ50, but the more I'm reading about placement, I think for 9.2 setup the speakers shown might be redundant? Or could the L & R speakers be used in place of floorstanders?
Also we have hard floors so any suggestions on hiding cables? Does anyone have experience with wireless rca transmitters? They seem to have them on amazon for $30

Each to their own, but I always prefer "quality" over "quantity". A side bonus would be that fewer speakers = fewer cables.

To my eye the shape of that room, the hard surfaces and TV location are likely to prove a challenge for any system.

Yeah I'm not really any sort of audiophile so quality is not top of list - just want as close to cinema experience as possible
