Fibre - power/ lack of

Had BT refused to install Fibre as they weren't tripping over power sockets for entry of the fibre to the premises (hmm, they chose at the side/ stairwell last time and its too complex apparently to get to where we do have sockets as the cable went in many directions).
( IIRC They called that partly "Fibre" in the past if I recall, I suppose that was bending the truth a bit )
So I have to now get a spur *just* so any providers can install now they are killing off copper based internet?
I didn't really want Fibre per se its just the way they are going with killing copper so I guess I don't have a choice?
If they aren't being stupid it's possible to run the fibre around further, it won't bend much on the tightest corners but it doesn't have to terminate the first place it appears inside the wall.
If you can get the preterminated fibre to run from where you want it out to the CSP then it should be possible to have to anywhere you like.
Not like the fibre is expensive either, and it just gets trimmed down from the 5/10/20 metre bit if you're starting from a long one.

I plied the installer with a cold (soft) drink or two whilst he was doing the setup outdoors; When asked about the locations I just said if I could have some extra to route / run indoors he gave me a good 10m ish fibre run for indoors; Drill enough holes and I could put the ONT in the loft 
Technically to have to pay more for what Openreach call premium or advanced install if you want more than the basic slap the ont next to where the fibre enters the premises.
If you have an actual Openreach person turn up they are often quite helpful, especially if plied with a mug of tea or soft drink. However it is often sub contracted out and those guys/gals are paid per install so are less interested in going above and beyond.
As above, if you may the job easy they are more minded to bend the rules and run a bit extra.
If you can get power to the ont position there is nothing to stop you running a network cable all over the house to where you want the router, it doesn’t have to go where the ont is.

Or you just pull the £10 of fibre through and let them joint it...
£500 for a fusion unit, so better than £3,000 but still not cheap.
Best bet is probably to take the cable to where you want it and pay the BT man / woman £50 to weld it up.
Pedant point - it's actually not that easy to strip down the kevlar protection layer to get to the very thin non-kevlar protection layer which then lets you bend the cable round door frames.
Getting the <1mm fibreoptic bit out of that to join is even trickier.
So just tell the bloke / blokette who does it for a living where you want it and pay them extra for their time.

The power extension is super ugly, distinct lack of power sockets, I could possible have something run under the carpet or something but its in the entrance/ living room and would stick out like a sore thumb
The PoE which I've never used before sounds interesting though so thanks for that idea Harpoon. Either spur or that I think.
Fibre guy seemed a bit young and "all the gear no idea" seemed to be wearing a Mission Impossible harness fully encountering possibility might be hanging upside down to sort the setup but not the possibility there wouldn't be a socket exactly where it was expected to enter the premises/ how the copper came in before.
I discussed even that I had a 5-10M twin cable 5v sort of extension ( which amazingly works) for a door style cam getting power quite a long way away from garage ( which has never failed ) but just not interested. If it was the same polarity and plug end I'd have unplugged that run for the cam to use that even !
