Main beam not working

1995 Chimaera 4.0
My car has been standing for some time, (18 months), now I am looking to get it back on the road. Most things are ok, but my main beam is not working, dip beam is ok. I have checked bulbs, fuses and swapped out the main beam relay, all good, but no main beam. Can anyone offer any help, or just point me in the right direction please. Thank you in advance.

Your profile suggests a 1995 car so the lights are controlled by buttons in the dash.

There's a possibility that the circuit is not completing here, does the tell tale lamp come on? I think they are in parallel so would indicate that the power is reaching the button at least.
