Is this a chart which encourages short-term trading?
Discussion
It appears to be so easy, but I am not brave enough to try.
My usual long-term hold strategy continues.
I have mentioned on here before, noticing unusual volatility this year with my fund and also the FTSE 100 Index.
Have no idea if it means anything, but it is certainly out of the ordinary.
Ahead of the index, so OK at the moment.
As for the future, might it be hard hats at the ready perhaps.

From my experience by the time you recognise the chart pattern you are too late and it changes. I tried this with SSE and with GSK. I got 1 ride up and sell of SSE and then it broke out upwards. I did the same back in mid 2022 with O Realty income company and then it broke downwards.,,,
Frustrating for you, but your experience emphasised how unpredictable stock markets can be.
Sometimes I meet people, who ask for my opinion about the markets.
They seem surprised when I give my standard reply. "I don't know what will happen tomorrow, next week, or this year."
The only reasonable certainty, is that if the EPS continues increasing, eventually (it might be a long time) the share price should follow.
