Garage scuffed my car

Unsure if I'm being over the top of not. We bougt a 16 plate Merc GLC from a local independent garage. The car has 120k on the clock but is in immaculate condition, one owner etc. After a week of having it there was a knocking sound from the rear, I took it in and they looked at the suspension and diagnosed a bush. Fixed it. Came to collect it and there was a big mark on the back. The chap said it must of been hit by a pushbike? I didn't believe it and it looked like someone had scraped bumpers. The valet chap came out with some sandpaper and rubbed it and used the electric mop. The mark has almost dissapeard but not fully.
