My new ‘old house’ adventures continue.

I knew there were two IBS tanks besides the garage, but as they were under an old blue tarp, I assumed (as did others) that they were empty.

Shock horror, I pulled the tarp of to find one full and the others over half full.

I thought it was diesel but on contact, the very elderly previous owner is saying it’s kerosene, that he bought at auction (for another house project he had in the plans).

What do I do with it ?

I’m thinking contact local farmer and see if they want it?

Video of it burning, as well as small sample in a white container.

Find someone who has oil heating and offer to sell it to them, thanks to Donald Trump the price is quite high at the moment.

Drink it <== ignore this I thought it was high octane unleaded

Sniff it

Have you anything with low grade diesel engines? Like an old fergie or whatever? If so you have free power for decades - that's the obvious thing to do in my mind

It's off - don't pull back with it in the tanks. Lots of uses on the ground.

You could put it back in an auction?
